Galiano Digital Media Potlatch 2007 Wrapup
Submitted by Christian Nally on Mon, 2007-06-11 02:23.

The Galiano Digital Media Potlatch 2007 didn't proceed along the originally envisioned trajectory. Instead, it was a "go with the flow" affair... a time for seeds to be planted, both digital and visionary. I suspect that any future repetitions would also be go with the flow affairs, island style.
Boris and I were joined at Lili's on the Greens restaurant by Andy, Tina, Avi, Emma, Graydon, Frances and eventually by Valerie and Emily.
I'm very grateful for the one-on-one time I got with Boris. Our digital hack sessions included starting an install profile for the upcoming Drupal 6 and a fair amount of discussion surrounding what it should encompass, given that it needs to be limited to core modules.
I came to understand how much of a foodie Boris is... someone in tune with Martine's contributions from Lili's.
With expertise at the table on bio-informatics, video blogging, CMS hosting and development, advanced web application frameworks... we had the complete digital flow from content to server frameworks to client side software to user and all the way back again covered completely, and in-depth.

In the spirit of philosophizing about media, here's a
cute little number dredged back up off the bottom. It's been buried in the mud for a while, but the piece rings true today, perhaps even more true than it did when it was broadcast originally.
Take it for all that, or, just use the audio in a remix. Sweet!
