Lasting Snow at the homestead

A blog about weather? Now there's an original topic. Must be a sign that I need to refocus on some things... on something. Ok, but it's not so common to see snow in this driveway, so here's the photo. This week has been very -VERY- reminiscent of times spent back east. I came -><- that close to being able to bust out the cross country skis. And I thought I'd brought them out only for storage! |

Sailing a Landlocked Cottage. Blogging in the Dark.
So we've had a power outage on Galiano tonight and I'm up working late.
But check this out...
One nice thing about getting into sailing, is that you gather to you all sorts of 'off grid' tricks. Tonight I'm working via light from a brass oil lamp and listening to marine radio for entertainment. I guess I should also mention that I'm getting a little help from the one remaining phone line and whatever juice is left in the laptop battery.
All without a generator, up 'til now.
